Farriery

The farriery profession is a highly regulated industry under the Farriers (Registration) Act
1975. The Apprenticeship offers a Level 3 entry route into the profession, providing learners
entering the industry with the skills and knowledge to provide a service to the horse owning
public.
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship apprentices will be able to qualify as
registered farriers that will allow them to set up their own business, join other farriers or
progress to be an approved training farrier.

- Level 3 Apprenticeship in Extractives and Mineral Processing
Professional Craft Practice

Its aim is to provide an alternative to the traditional HE routes into the sector and to enable learners to progress from the advanced level apprenticeship in craft to become highly skilled workers in their area of specialism.
