Nursing Assistants in a Veterinary Environment

The Nursing Assistants Foundation Apprenticeship framework has been designed with industry to provide those working in a veterinary environment in supporting roles the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge to progress within the industry. The minimum duration for the framework is 15 months.The framework provides a progression pathway to move into veterinary nursing, animal behaviour or other animal-related occupations.
Job opportunities may include Animal Nursing Assistant or Veterinary Care Assistant.

The Animal Care Apprenticeship frameworks at Level 2 and Level 3 are designed with industry providing apprentices with the competences to carry out their job role and support future progression in the industry.
The Diploma in Work-based Animal Care within the framework has a number of routes which apprentices choose depending on the sub-sector they are working in and these are reflected in the range of jobs such as: animal care assistant, pet shop/retail assistant, dog groomer and dog warden.

Fencing

The Foundation Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship in Fencing provide learners with the skills and knowledge to become qualified fence installers and supervisors. It is a requirement for all entrants into the industry to complete the Level 2/3 Diploma in Fencing prior to working alone. The duration for the Foundation Apprenticeship is 15 months and the Apprenticeship is 18 months.
